Information Processing/Learning Websites

Additionally, these websites provide essential information regarding the brain and learning and information processing.
This website supplies very good information on the Information Processing Theory. Within this site, is the schematic of the theory which includes Long Term Memory, Short Term Memory, and Sensory Memory. This site also provides links to other sites with equally vital information about this theory. George A. Miller did extensive research on information processing, and his research is also included on this, and other linked sites.

This website lists material that is very much like the aforementioned site, in that it states the different types of information processing. The creator of this site, Michael Orey, provides in depth explanations of Short Term Memory, Long Term Memory, and Sensory Registry. He also includes video examples, and descriptive animations that help the reader to better understand the content. Within this site, there are also links to other websites that provide similar information and concepts.

Welcome to Nicole's Instructional Design & Technology Blog

The purpose of this blog is to track and share my experiences and any knowledge that I gain throughout my journey of the Instructional Design and Technology degree. I would like to keep updated information for anyone who follows this blog. If you have anything to share, feel free to post here. I am open to and excited to hear new design and technology methods and strategies that will improve my learning experience.

Below is a brief overview of each of the sources that I have begun following that contain pertinent information to Instructional Design:

This is a blog designed by Christy Tucker. She supplies the reader with a plethora of information related to Instructional Design, including what an Instructional Designer does, how they develop learning experiences, and the skills needed to be successful as an Instructional Designer. Many people have commented on her blog, and the information provided is extensive.

Lastly, I have provided a link to a video clip that helps familiarize you with what a blog is and how it can be useful to you. A blog is a good way for people to follow each other, while also learning along the way together, and this video offers information on how to get set up to do just that.
